If you want to finish the game (and I did), be prepared to be patient and be almost perfect to complete this World. Again, I don't mind difficulty in games but I was completely unprepared for World 9. The difficulty in World 9 almost gets to the point of not wanting to finish the game. After you accomplish this, a special World 9 opens.
The problem I have is when you successfully collect all of the star coins from Worlds 1-8. The difficulty goes up progressively as you move from world to world but it is still manageable.
The problem with this Mario game is the first 8 worlds are relatively on the easy side. In a nutshell, it's a traditional 2D Mario game with multiplayer but you don't have to take turns. While it can be frustrating at times, especially with newer players, the fun factor increases as people become more comfortable with the game. The bulk of the fun comes from multiplayer.
